Club Events are back!!

Note: Upcoming events will comply with all COVID - 19 restrictions.

Roadrunner Car Club is a Noosa Car Club / Sunshine Coast Car Club and holds various events in locations from Caloundra to Gympie and beyond to cater for members who are not based in Noosa.

The club events are listed below, you can also view a calendar View.

If you are interested in attending, please register and make payments, where necessary, using our secure online payment facility or by EFT direct into the Club bank account.

Note: You must be a financial member to take advantage of the "Member Price" where there is member and non member pricing.

You can pay online with Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discovery cards.

(Event payments made by credit card incur a 2% surcharge)

    Special Interest Vehicle (SIV) Trip registration

    You may now also use your SIV registered vehicle for impromptu trips that may be for one or many participants:

    Usage includes the following:

    Rallies and events(including impromptu events) must be listed in the incorporated club newsletter or on the incorporated club’s website or social media page (or in another manner approved by the club or ASRF, such as the club calendar of events) prior to the event. The administrative process for supporting an event is at the discretion of an individual club or ASRF and must ensure members comply with the special interest vehicle conditions and restrictions of use.

    Note: This is a continuous event which commenced on the 3 April 2019,

    this is not the date of your trip.

    You can register a single or multi car event!

    • an impromptu event is an event that has been initiated by a club member, involves one or more vehicles, and must comply with the following elements:
    • involves an invitation to wider club members to attend the event;

    •  and is either
    • endorsed in advance of the event by the relevant club or Australia Street Rod Federation committee; or,
    • where it exists, complies with published club guidelines as to what is a valid event; and
    • is listed either in the newsletter, on the website, or social media page (or in another manner approved by the club or Australia Street Rod Federation, such as the club calendar of events) prior to the event.
    • Note: Incorporated vehicle clubs should maintain a register of endorsed impromptu events. This register should contain information on the impromptu event.

    Example of Valid Events

    • Attending a club event or a reciprocal event and state what & where it is.
    • To give the vehicle a good run to a destination to keep all components.
    • Testing vehicle before or after mechanical repairs.
    • Taking vehicle to or from a repair shop or other service necessary to keep vehicle operational.

    It is important that your name is visible to other members to meet regulation requirements - the Public list of event entrants is only visible to other members

    Join us for some fun , excitement  and a BBQ at the Big Kart Track at Landsborough, Saturday 10th October.

     Starts at 10.30am with a club BBQ lunch and finishes around 1.30pm

    Group Booking special price is $40 PP for a 15min. adrenalin hit or $70 PP for 2x 15 mins. heart stress test runs (recommended) with a BBQ lunch in between.

    Club  BBQ Food and Drinks available (no Alcohol) at low prices with G.F. Sausages and Bread available. Sugar free drinks too!!

     Pay on the day but you must register to attend as we need to notify how many attending. Are you up for it?

    Afternoon Tea, consisting of tea and coffee and a selection of hot and cold finger food will be provided following the meeting.

    Cost for afternoon tea $10.00 per head

    We encourage all members to attend to receive reports on progress of the club to date and to be involved in the election of office bearers and the future of the club.

    Very informal, very interesting and very important for you attend your club's annual general meeting on Sunday 8th November at 1.30pm.  

    Lunch available prior if you wish.

    If you are wanting to participate in organising or contributing to your club's management feel free to nominate for a committee position or just pass on any suggestions or comments.

    Please come along and get acquainted with the outgoing and incoming committees 


    Election of Management Committee for 2020-2021

    The club is classified as a level 3 Incorporated Association

    34 Business to be conducted at annual general meeting of other level 3 incorporated associations

    (1) This rule applies only if the Association is a level 3 incorporated association to which section 59B of the Act applies.

    (2) The following business must be conducted at each annual general meeting of the Association—

    (a) receiving the association's financial statement, and signed statement, for the last reportable financial year;

    (b) presenting the financial statement and signed statement to the meeting for adoption;

    (c) electing members of the Management Committee  

    At the upcoming AGM on the 8th November 2020 the following positions, which form the Management Committee, will come up for re-election.

    President.
    Vice President.
    Secretary.
    Treasurer.

    Anyone wishing to nominate for a position on the Management Committee can view or download the Position Description from the members only area.

    Please download the nomination form from the list below or contact the Secretary for a nomination form. The completed form will need to be returned to the Secretary at least fourteen days before the Annual General Meeting at which the election is to take place.

    Management Appointed Positions

    The Management Committee in its powers can appoint and have answering to it the following Management Appointed Positions which can consist of a single person role or a subcommittee, the officer appointed will be responsible for that position. These roles are ongoing and are not subject to re-election at the AGM.

    Membership Officer.

    Editor.

    Social Co-ordinator.

    Webmaster.

    SIV Registration Officer.

                                                                   

    All these Management Appointed Positions, either currently filled, or declared vacant, are always open to expressions of interest from any current financial member, this may be either taking on a position or assisting the current officer in that role.

    It is in the interest of both the Club and Management to support and cross train members in all roles. So please contact any of Management Team or those currently filling the Appointed Positions to obtain more information.

    For those roles that are currently vacant also contact the Management Committee to discuss and express your interest.

    Further information including all nominations received will be provided prior to the meeting.

    New Zealand group tour Feb 2021

    We are planning a small group tour to  New Zealand from February 14th to March 3rd 2021, see details below.

    There will be lots of other places of interest we will visit and we will make sure that the ladies interests are well catered for.


    The tour is now confirmed to take place and things are looking more positive regarding the COVID restrictions!

    Originally this was planned as a limited small group, however the response has been overwhelming.

    We have now increased the group size to a maximum of 30.

    There still limited places available if you would like to join us.

    Once this is exceeded you will be added to the waitlist and inclusion in the group will be subject to a cancellation.
